Neutron radiation detection unit BDN-PM1403
Description
The BDN detection unit is designed to search, detect and localize sources of neutron radiation, as well as to measure the ambient dose equivalent rate (DER) of neutron radiation in collimated Pu-a-Be radiation.
Operating principle
Operating modes:
- measurement of neutron radiation DER
- search for sources of neutron radiation
- programming operating modes
The BDN provides input, storage in non-volatile memory and continuous monitoring of the achievement or exceeding of two DER threshold levels, as well as sound and light alarms when the established threshold levels are exceeded.
Work as part of a complex device and with a PC
When connected to the detection and information processing unit of the BDOI-RM1403 dosimeter-radiometer, the information display unit of the BOI-RM1403 dosimeter-radiometer or to a personal computer (PC), the following is carried out:
- indication on the display of the measured value of neutron radiation DER and indication of the relative root-mean-square error of the average value of the measurement result with a probability of 0.95 (statistical error) in percent;
- indication of the average counting rate and the measured value of the neutron radiation DER when the BDN is operating in the search mode;
- programming of operating modes of the BDN.
BDN connects to BDOI/BOI or PC via RS-485 or USB interface
