Non-destructive studies of the structure of ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials to control VIN numbers.

Compact model. It consists of a controller in a metal case with connectors for connecting two scanners for non-destructive studies of the structure of electrically conductive non-ferromagnetic and ferromagnetic materials.

Used in conjunction with the Regula 7505M device, expanding its functionality.

  • Study of markings on data carriers made of aluminum alloys (silumin housings of cylinder blocks and gearboxes, aluminum nameplates, duralumin bodies)
  • Restoration of completely destroyed original VIN numbers of vehicle chassis using ferromagnetic materials
  • Examination of the surface of non-ferromagnetic materials to obtain information and (or) establish the fact of falsification of VIN numbers of vehicle chassis
  • Detection of weld defects in ferromagnetic materials and aluminum alloys, weak signals in the surface layers of ferromagnetic products, for example, residual (hardening) stresses
  • Operating principle
  • The magnetic tape is preliminarily demagnetized, laid and fixed on the surface under study.
  • One of the scanners corresponding to the type of material under study is connected to the controller, which moves along the surface under study.
  • The controller generates and supplies voltage pulses with specified parameters to the scanner.
  • The pulsed current flowing in the scanner conductor forms an alternating magnetic field around it, which induces eddy currents in the electrically conductive material of the research object.
  • Eddy current trajectories and associated magnetic stray fields display electrical resistance lines determined by the shape, size and location of defects in the object under study.
  • The resulting magnetograms of stray fields are visualized by a Regula 7505M magneto-optical device for subsequent processing and analysis by experts.
