Document reader "Regula" 7017; 7027
The 7017 series devices are used for automatic scanning of documents, passports, identification cards, driver's licenses, visas. Regula passport scanners accurately read text data, barcodes, and microcircuits. There are several models of Regula scanners in the 7000 line. They differ in configuration, design and functionality. The most popular are Regula 7017 and 7027.
Features of the Regula 7017/27 device
A compact, portable model, the device body is made of durable plastic, which does not weigh down the device, making it even more convenient. A connection to a computer is used to transfer data. The device runs on a built-in battery when connected to a computer. No additional power required. The drug reads images in white.

Regula 7027 is a portable plastic scanner that also works when connected to a computer. Unlike the Regula 7017 model, it reads readings not only in white light, but also in ultraviolet light, which expands its functionality and applicability.

The operating principle of the Regula 7017 passport scanner is simple. The device detects the presence of a document. Images are formed and examined in several spectra. The program identifies the received data. The results are displayed on the computer.

Software development kit (SDK) of the document reader
SDK (Full) consists of three modules:
- Basic – supplied with the device by default
- VizOCR - reading text fields from document pages
- AAC - Automatic Authentication
The VizOCR and AAC modules are optional and are used to expand the functionality of the Basic module.
Regular updates are available for the SDK. The Basic module has unlimited support. VizOCR and AAC modules are updated by subscription.
