A universal portable device for searching for sources and measuring the characteristics of alpha, beta and gamma radiation fields.

Purpose

Search for sources of gamma radiation, determination of surface contamination with alpha and beta emitting radionuclides

Measurement of gamma radiation DER, alpha radiation flux density, beta radiation flux density

Estimation of the safe stay of personnel in the measurement area

Design

MKS-A07 is a compact and universal device made on the basis of gas-discharge counters. The device is controlled using buttons on the handle of the device.

MKS-A07 allows you to transfer received data via USB 2.0 interface or wirelessly (optional). When connected via USB 2.0, the device is charged at the same time.

The device has a high degree of dust and moisture protection, light weight and a wide range of operating temperatures, which allows it to be used in difficult field conditions.

Application

For operational control of unauthorized entry and transportation of nuclear and radioactive materials to facilities and territories in order to ensure their anti-terrorism security requirements

In radiological laboratories, as part of a mobile radiation monitoring complex

For operational monitoring of the radiation situation at nuclear power facilities and military facilities

Monitoring the radiation situation by the services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia

Peculiarities

  • Versatility: simultaneous measurement of alpha, beta and gamma radiation
  • Independence of measuring channels with gamma radiation compensation in the beta channel
  • High sensitivity, efficiency of measurements
  • User-friendly interface that does not require special knowledge in the field of radiation measurements
  • Developed operator safety service
  • High resistance to external influences
  • Maintaining a non-volatile measurement log with reference to real time and geographic coordinates (optional)
