Explosion localizer "Fontan-1"
The device is designed to protect structures and people who are in close proximity to an explosive device during its detonation.
The explosion localizer "Fontan-1" is a sealed metal container with a lid into which an explosive object is placed. The anti-fragmentation screen protects others from fragments during detonation. The set also includes pillows and mats to securely fix the item inside the container.
Peculiarities
The explosion localizer "Fontan-1" passed certification tests and was adopted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The device is used when there is an emergency need to remove explosives. The device reduces the risk of explosion to a minimum. It reduces the pressure amplitude from the shock wave several times.
Using the device eliminates the risk of fire after an explosion. Splinters, gas, fire remain in a sealed container, protecting others from fire and poisoning by toxic gases.
Application
When using the device, the consequences of projectile detonation will be minimal, the risk of fire, thermal injury, and toxic gas poisoning is eliminated. One or two people are required to carry and use the device. There is no need to stop the work of the institution where an explosive device was discovered.
To prevent an explosion and suppress the blast wave during sudden detonation, the device must be placed on an explosive object and covered with a lid. A trolley can be used for transportation.
Application:
- cover the explosive object with a container or place it inside;
- fix the object with pads with a heterophasic dispersant inside;
- cover the container with a lid and seal it tightly;
- evacuate the container to a safe place.
The explosion localizer "Fontan-1" can be used in any institutions and crowded places. It is approved for use by military, armed, and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation.
