The device allows you to configure threshold values for the weight of metal objects for each control zone. Thanks to the possibility of separate determination of ferrous, non-ferrous, and combined metals, the efficiency of inspection increases and the number of false positives decreases. Zonal selection works autonomously, without summing up indicators from other areas, which speeds up the verification and makes it more accurate.
Operating principle
The arched stationary metal detector SmartScan C18 divides the passage space into 18 separate detection zones. Six horizontal areas, each of which is further divided into three vertical sectors. All six horizontal zones operate autonomously under computer control, representing separate metal detectors.
The basic configuration includes 22 pre-installed programs for identifying different types of metal objects. The system allows operators to create their own operating modes - up to four user programs.
The computer system instantly determines the coordinates of metal objects as they move through the arched structure. The display is divided into areas: the horizontal part indicates the distance from the ground, and the vertical parts of the screen show the location of the object relative to the center (to the right, to the left or in the middle). Thanks to instant data analysis, security guards can quickly identify and pinpoint the exact location of potentially dangerous metal objects. The system tracks several objects, displaying information about their position on the multifunction screen.

SmartScan C18EX is distinguished by exceptional accuracy - false alarms are excluded during scanning. The device distinguishes between types of metals: you can select the detection mode for ferrous, non-ferrous or combined metals. The detection weight threshold is flexibly adjusted - from a minimum of 10 grams (corresponds to GOST) to higher values: 15, 25, 35 grams and more.
The device is equipped with an intelligent zone control system - the mass of metal is analyzed in each zone independently, without summing up the indicators. The memory contains 22 pre-installed programs for identifying various objects, plus it is possible to create 4 custom detection modes for specific tasks.
The innovative metal object detection system includes multi-spectrum scanning with two basic parameters. The device analyzes both the vertical position of the object (left, center or right side) and its vertical position using six horizontal levels. The total number of independent detecting segments reaches eighteen, and each one operates autonomously.
Silhouettes corresponding to typical parameters of human growth are visualized on the screen - from 150 to 180 centimeters. The current operating mode is reflected by statuses: the system can be in a ready state, signaling a detection, or in standby mode.
Thanks to the multi-function indicator, security personnel can accurately determine the location of metal objects under the detector arch. The system instantly calculates coordinates as soon as a person carries weapons or other prohibited metal objects through the control zone. This significantly speeds up the inspection process and makes the security work much more efficient.
