Radiation monitoring unit URK-PM5000P
Description
Monitors are widely used at airports and train stations to control luggage and cargo unloaded from planes and trains, at post offices to control mail, in banking institutions to control the money supply, at checkpoints of nuclear power plants and nuclear industrial enterprises, metallurgical plants, etc.
The modular design allows the system to be easily adapted and configured according to customer requirements. Radiation portal monitors can be one-sided or two-sided, and can also have different heights of the monitoring zone. They are designed to control gamma, neutron or both types of radiation at the same time.
Operating principle
Radiation monitors can be mounted on the floor, hung on walls in indoor and outdoor spaces and are designed for operation in unfavorable climatic conditions and have a 24-hour automatic operation mode. If radioactive materials are detected in the control area or the background value of gamma radiation changes, a light and sound alarm is activated. Information about events is saved and displayed on a PC connected to the installation.
Advantages
- High sensitivity due to the use of large volume detectors
- Application of the latest technologies and data processing algorithms
- Sound and light alarm
- Possibility of connecting a video surveillance system
- Possibility of transmitting information and signals via Ethernet local network to a computer over a distance of up to 100 m.
- Possibility of combining installations into a single network with control from one computer
- 24/7 operation with measurement history recording
Available modifications
- URK-PM5000P – single-sided gamma monitor with increased sensitivity
- URK-PM5000P-01 – double-sided gamma monitor
- URK-PM5000P-02B – one-way gamma neutron monitor (neutron detector is made on the basis of one solid-state detector (10B/ZnS(Ag))
- URK-PM5000P-03B – double-sided gamma-neutron monitor (neutron detector is made on the basis of one solid-state detector (10B/ZnS(Ag))
