Purpose
The installation is intended for reproduction and transmission of:
- units of kerma and kerma power in air,
- exposure dose and exposure dose rate,
- ambient dose equivalent and ambient dose equivalent rate,
- individual dose equivalent and individual dose equivalent rate
during verification, calibration, calibration and testing of dosimeters and gamma radiation dose rate meters.

Operational safety
- An installation with a set of sources can be placedin rooms that do not require additional radiation protection.The radiation impact on personnel and the public during operation, malfunction or accident of the installation is limited to the installation itself and does not reach the room in which it is located.
- When the source of maximum activity (Cs-137 with an activity of 820 Ci) is located in the operating position, the dose rate at a distance of 30 cm from any surface of the installation body does not exceed 2 μSv/h.
- When the sources are located in the storage position, the dose rate on any surface of the installation body does not exceed 0.5 μSv/h.
- Radiation safety of the installation operation is ensured by a control system together with an alarm and blocking system, as well as a radiation monitoring system with one gamma radiation detection unit located in the working chamber of the installation.
Description of installation
Working chambercovered on all sides with lead protection of varying thickness.
The instruments to be verified are placed on the SLP desktop.Deskhas the ability to adjust the height using an electric drive, as well as move the device being tested along the radiation axis.
Block of 4 attenuatorsprovides weakening of the radiation flux from the source.
Control stationUsing electric drives, it provides remote supply of sources in the irradiator from the storage position to the working position and back, positioning of the devices being verified in the radiation beam along the radiation axis, height adjustment of the work table and installation of attenuator combinations.
Loading devicesthe desktop is accessed through the door. From the central and adjustment consoles you can control all installation mechanisms in adjustment and semi-automatic modes.
CCTV systemconsists of three video cameras that provide control over the position of the SLP platform using a tape measure, observation of instrument readings and an overview of the working chamber. Images from video cameras are displayed on workstation monitors.
The installation is equipped with 6 height-adjustable supports. The unit is equipped with two special wheel blocks, with which it canmove short distances(inside the room) assembled.
