Explosives detector M-ION
The M-ION detector is an improved version of the Shelf-UKD model. The base of detectable substances is constantly expanding in a changing world, which allows the device to be a sales leader in its segment.
Characteristics
The main purpose of the explosive vapor detector “M-ION” Detector is the automatic detection of traces of explosives, both on the surface and in the air.
To perform this task, the M-Ion detector is equipped with a built-in analyzer, as well as an updated list of explosives with data for analysis. The M-Ion explosive vapor detector has the following characteristics:
- length – 0.4 m;
- width – 0.16 m;
- height – 0.11 m;
- estimated analysis time – 2 s;
- weight with battery – 3 kg;
- operating time with battery – 2 hours;
- permissible air temperature range – +5 – +50 degrees Celsius;
- The device accurately detects substances at concentrations up to 10-11mg/cm3.
The dimensions of the device and the presence of a lithium-ion battery allow the M-Ion detector to be used as a portable monitoring tool. Mobility and long battery life ensure operation of the device outside the security post, including during vehicle inspections or personal searches of visitors and passengers.
Features of the device
The M-Ion detector has two operating modes:
- Vapor search – highly sensitive mode, gentle on the battery;
- search for traces - requires turning on the heater mounted on the sensitive part of the device;
Other features of the device include:
- availability of a sampler for working in hard-to-reach places;
- availability of a backup battery;
- possibility of installing a more capacious battery;
- availability of ports for connecting to digital devices, wireless connection.
The operation of the M-Ion explosive vapor detector is based on the corona discharge principle, which eliminates the use of a radioactive isotope.
