Purpose
A portable explosives detector is a small box with a built-in spectrometer. It determines the mobility of ions without creating an increase in radioactive background around.
Professional explosive analyzers have high sensitivity, due to which errors or inaccuracies in identification are excluded, which guarantees a high degree of safety.
Portable explosive vapor detector use different structures:
- during inspection of cargo, vehicles and people by customs control officers;
- when inspecting territories and facilities by environmental control services;
- in the presence of harmful substances in the air;
- at transport infrastructure facilities;
- forensic laboratories of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The portable explosive vapor detector is ready for use within 5-7 seconds after switching on, making them suitable for operational use. The devices have high sensitivity, and the built-in powerful processor quickly processes data and accurately identifies the object.
Operating principle
First, the specialist takes an air sample or removes a sample from the surface. Then the samples are taken are analyzed for the presence of explosive vapors.
If residues of explosive substances are detected in the air or on the surface, a corresponding sound signal is heard and a light indication is turned on. The screen displays an alphanumeric code by which a specialist can identify the object.
