Radiation monitoring installation “URK-PM5000BM”
The PM5000B series of radiation portal monitors are highly sensitive stationary systems designed to monitor the movement of radioactive materials. Gamma, neutron and gamma-neutron radiation monitors are recommended for testing passenger cars, trucks, and trains.
Installations of the PM5000BM series are measuring instruments.
The devices can be installed at border and customs checkpoints; at facilities using or producing nuclear materials; at the entrance control point at enterprises to exclude the entry of radiation sources into technological processes that use or process secondary raw materials.
Operating principle
The devices are mounted on bases on the ground, suspended on special supports or walls and are designed for operation in adverse climatic conditions. Depending on the requirements, monitors can be single-sided or double-sided, and can also have different test zone heights and detect all types of radiation. Car monitors can be equipped with video surveillance systems, the ability to exchange data with a computer and paging communication with specialists responsible for performing radiation monitoring procedures.
