Integration into an access control system
Thanks to the presence of an output for controlling actuators (dry contacts), metal detectors of the BLOKPOST RS Z 3 series can be integrated into an access control system in conjunction with airlock cabins, vestibules, turnstiles, tripods, and automatic doors.
When a person passes through a metal detector with a prohibited item, a light and sound indication is triggered; the information is transmitted through a wired connection to a turnstile (airlock cabin, automatic door, etc.), which blocks further movement of the person. If there are no prohibited items, the turnstile will allow access.
Operating principle
The operation of RS Z 3 metal detectors is based on the use of an electromagnetic field. One of the walls (antennas) of the device sends a signal towards another wall, which receives this signal and then returns it back. As you know, electromagnetic waves do not pass through metal objects. The device records the time the signal is reflected; when the time interval changes, the alarm device is triggered. A multi-zone metal detector has the ability to accurately locate one or more metal objects on the human body.
